Emergency power outages in effect in six regions – Ukrenergo
According to Ukrinform, NEC Ukrenergo stated this on Facebook.
"In Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad (partially) regions, emergency outages are currently being applied. Previously published outage schedules in these regions are temporarily not in effect. Emergency outages will be lifted immediately after the situation in the power system stabilizes," the statement reads.
Due to Russian attacks, energy equipment has been damaged in several regions, causing local power outages. Emergency repair and restoration work has already begun.
It is noted that as of 09:30 Friday, electricity consumption is 1.5% higher than the previous day. This is due to a smaller volume of outages compared to the previous day.
"The need for careful energy use remains today. Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances. If possible, move energy-intensive processes to nighttime hours – after 22:00," Ukrenergo advises.
As reported, all regions of Ukraine on December 5 are operating under scheduled power outages ranging from 0.5 to 3 rotations.
