First airline suspends flights to Moscow due to drone attacks

Turkmenistan Airlines has announced the suspension of flights on the Ashgabat-Moscow-Ashgabat route from August 1.

According to Ukrinform, Turkmenportal reported this.

"Dear passengers, we would like to inform you that due to the situation in the Moscow air zone, based on the risk assessment, and to ensure flight safety, starting from August 1, 2023, all flights of Turkmenistan Airlines on the Ashgabat-Moscow-Ashgabat route will be suspended," the company said.

It is noted that flights to Russia will be operated on the route Ashgabat-Kazan-Ashgabat.

As Ukrinform reported, on the night of Saturday, July 30, explosions were heard in the capital of Russia. The building of the IQ-quarter in the Moscow City business center was damaged as a result of the UAV crash.

On August 1, several drones attacked the Russian capital again, one of them hitting the same building in Moscow City as the previous time.
