In Kyiv region, 31 families have received housing under the Nova Oselia (lit. New Home) program at the expense of the regional budget.

The head of Kyiv regional military administration (RMA) Ruslan Kravchenko announced this in an interview with Ukrinform.

"We have a program called New Home. Kyiv RMA buys renovated apartments at the expense of the regional budget for those who have lost their homes. First of all, this is for large families, as well as families with two or three children and a parent who died in Russia's war against Ukraine. We have already bought and provided 31 apartments to people," Kravchenko said.

He added that they plan to purchase another 25-27 apartments soon.

As for the cost of housing, according to the head of RMA, the latest purchase offers were at the level of UAH 30,000 per square meter with repairs.

"That is the market price but the lowest one to date. Until now, it was UAH 20,000-25,000. We are not buying any expensive apartments. I am personally monitoring this," he emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, over 12,000 facilities damaged as a result of Russia's military aggression have already been restored in Kyiv region.
