NBU introduces commemorative medals honoring four Hero cities

The National Bank of Ukraine on Tuesday, March 28, put into circulation commemorative medals in honor of Hero cities Mykolaiv, Volnovakha, Okhtyrka, and Chernihiv.

This is reported on the central bank’s website, as seen by Ukrinform.

The commemorative medals are dedicated to honoring the feat, mass heroism and resilience of citizens, demonstrated in defending these cities from Russia's armed aggression targeting Ukraine.

On the medals’ obverses and reverses, in addition to Ukraine’s Coat of Arms, there are symbols of the honored cities, as well as lines and symbols from the works of Lina Kostenko and Ivan Bahrianyi.
