Zelensky calls on American investors to come to Ukraine

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his online address during the spring session of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Right now we are calling on all businesses to come to Ukraine and to leave the Russian market. It is obvious that post-hostilities reconstruction of Ukraine will give an extraordinary moral advantage to all businesses that will be in. And it is also obvious that every business that is now helping the Russian tyranny, in any way, will not be able to avoid problems and a reputation crisis,” Zelensky told.

According to the Head of State, American businesses have every opportunity to take leadership positions both in rebuilding Ukraine’s economy and infrastructure and in demonstrating to the world that human nature should serve worthy goals and that it produces – and will always produce – the best result.

Zelensky expressed confidence that the Ukrainian life would inevitably get a new start after the war, and it is necessary to rebuild Ukraine’s energy system and infrastructure based on new security principles.

According to the Head of State, Ukraine is planning to combine green transformation with security transformation and create an example for similar transformation in other countries, so as to protect a specific country from any aggression against the energy industry, as well as to protect all humanity under the framework of a smart climate policy.

Zelensky noted that Ukraine’s modernized and decentralized energy system is a project worth hundreds of billions of dollars and with the potential of replication for other nations.

The President of Ukraine mentioned that the country needs to restore hundreds of thousands of industrial, infrastructure and social facilities, residential buildings, entire cities, industries and production facilities, which is a colossal but realistic task.

Additionally, Ukraine is interested in projects to create a full production cycle of titanium, lithium, aluminum and ferrous metallurgy. The Ukrainian oil refineries, which had been destroyed by Russian missiles, and a high-capacity domestic market provide the opportunity to restore this industry on a modern technological basis.

Among other investment opportunities in Ukraine, Zelensky mentioned machine building, agricultural processing, weapons production (including modern drones), information technology, infrastructure and transport.

“All these are not just investment opportunities, not just industries and not just growth. This is a wide space for victories. Your victories, American business! And I urge you to prepare for these victories now, to come to Ukraine now. So that by the time we restore peace, your hard work has already yielded results,” the President of Ukraine emphasized.
