NBU sells more than $1.1B on interbank foreign exchange market over past week

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) sold $1.102 billion and bought $9.6 million on the interbank foreign exchange market over the past week.

Ukrinform reports with reference to data provided by the central bank.

Following foreign exchange interventions, between December 26 and December 30, 2022, the National Bank sold $1,101.79 million on the interbank foreign exchange market and bought $9.6 million.

Since the start of 2022, the National Bank bought $3.267 billion and EUR 110.97 million and sold $26.380 billion and EUR 1.789 billion.

As reported by Ukrinform, the National Bank sold $1.276 billion and purchased $3.691 billion on the interbank foreign exchange market in 2021. In 2020, the central bank sold $3.891 billion and purchased $4.929 billion on the interbank foreign exchange market in 2020.
