Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal informed EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso about Russia's missile attacks on energy facilities across Ukraine.

"During the meeting in Kyiv, I personally thanked Odile Renaud-Basso for consistent support for Ukraine. EUR 2 billion that the EBRD allocated to support the resilience of Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion already works to support the stability of the energy and transport sectors of the Ukrainian economy. I told [the EBRD President] about Russia's missile attacks on the energy facilities of our country," Shmyhal posted on Telegram.

The PM noted that the authorities together with partners were working to ensure the stability of the energy system against the background of enemy aggression. Since the EBRD is one of the largest partners in the financial sector, Shmyhal discussed increasing support for Ukraine in this area with Renaud-Basso.

"The government is working towards consolidating international financial aid to implement Ukraine’s Recovery Plan and support the budget," the Prime Minister added.

As reported, Russia has been launching massive strikes on the civilian energy infrastructure of Ukraine with missiles and kamikaze drones since October 10. As a result, more than 45 energy facilities were damaged. Power supply restrictions were already introduced in the center and north of Ukraine.
