The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine is working to ensure that the IT sector provides 10% of the country's GDP in a few years.

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov said this at a briefing on November 3, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We want to increase the share of IT sector in the country's GDP from 3% to 10% in a few years, and we do our best to achieve this goal. We are cooperating with educational institutions and the Education Ministry in order to train more and more specialists, and we will create a virtual country [Diia City], which will help us establish the world's best conditions for creating IT companies here," Fedorov said.

On November 2, the Verkhovna Rada registered draft laws "On stimulating the development of the digital economy in Ukraine" and "On amendments to criminal legislation regarding a special procedure for investigating criminal offenses in order to ensure proper conditions for the development of the digital economy."
