Latvia contributes EUR 200,000 to Ukraine Energy Support Fund

Latvia has announced the allocation of EUR 200,000 to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.

Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braze announced this on the social media platform X, Ukrinform reports.

"Latvia is contributing EUR 200,000 to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. Russia is weaponizing winter - we must urgently step up support for Ukraine's energy sector. Ukraine's security is our security," Braze said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Luxembourg's government allocated EUR 10 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. Germany will also increase its contribution to the fund by EUR 100 million, bringing the total to EUR 550 million.
