McDonald's has invested 7.5 billion in Ukraine over 23 years

"In 2019, 110 million customers ordered meals from McDonald's in Ukraine. This allowed the network to increase its fast food market share by 2%, which was 14% of all visits to restaurants outside the home (as of March 31, 2020). McDonald's has invested UAH 7.5 billion in Ukraine over the past 23 years. The amount of investments in 2019 totalled more than UAH 0.5 billion. These funds were channelled into improving customer experience, digitizing business, and investing in society," reads the company’s press release available to Ukrinform.

In 2019, McDonald's renovated 17 restaurants and opened 5 new ones.

The first McDonald's restaurant in Ukraine opened in Kyiv on May 24, 1997. The network has 93 restaurants in 20 cities of Ukraine. The company is among 100 biggest taxpayers in Ukraine.
