MoE: Power system remains under control despite intense enemy attacks

Ukraine's energy system continues to operate under intense enemy attacks, but remains intact and under control.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk on television, according to Ukrinform.

According to him, in November alone, the enemy carried out five massive attacks on civilian energy infrastructure facilities, using more than 200 missiles and 5,500 drones. The most intense strikes were recorded in frontline and border regions.

The shelling damaged power generation, transmission, and distribution facilities, leading to a shortage of both generating capacity and power transmission capabilities. As of today, about 48,000 consumers in the Odesa region and about 3,000 in the Chernihiv region remain without power. In the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, power supply has been almost completely restored, Mykola Kolisnyk said.

“Energy workers are working continuously, taking into account the security situation. We are balancing the system using all available generation, electricity imports, and the application of restriction schedules to meet the needs of the population,” the deputy minister emphasized.
