JSC Ukrzaliznytsia does not plan to raise ticket prices after quarantine.

Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Kryklii has said in an interview with Radio Svoboda, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“There have not been plans to raise tariffs for passenger transportation and there are no such plans yet. It is clear that this issue should be raised in the future. However, when? I cannot tell you yet. Moreover, passenger transportation currently is not carried out,” Kryklii said.

At the same time, he noted that Ukraine lacks the law on an independent regulator in the transportation sector.

“This is analogous to the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC) in the energy sector. This would greatly simplify our lives so that it does not have any political trace and implication. Therefore, I expect that this law will be adopted and a corresponding commission will be set up,” the minister said.
