Naftogaz: Russia produces 9.2 billion cu m of gas in annexed Crimea

"Russia still produces gas. As of today, the Russian Federation has already produced illegally 9.2 billion cubic meters from all the deposits owned by Ukraine. When I saw our rigs "Petro Hodovanets" and "Ukrayina", their names were covered with paint. The rigs seemed to be in a very poor condition, compared to what they looked in 2014. Currently, Russia uses nine deposits of the Chornomornaftogaz.

As reported, the Naftogaz of Ukraine filed a lawsuit against Russia at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague over inflicted damages in accordance with the bilateral agreement on mutual protection of investments between Ukraine and Russia. Ukrainian company insists that Russia stole Ukrainian facilities in Crimea.

"We have lost rigs, gas pipelines, our own fleet and administration buildings. The gas transportation system, rig derricks, the entire power grid, financial assets - all of this was captured by Russia in the first place in 2014. The losses are estimated at $5 billion. In order to somehow legitimize the theft, the illegitimate Crimean parliament, controlled by the Kremlin, "nationalized" almost 500 Ukrainian enterprises," the NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” noted.
