Ukrinform
Ukraine and Italy start to prepare the technical and economic documentation for the launch of the high-speed railway lines in Ukraine.

This was agreed during the meeting of Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelian and Chairman of the Italferr company Riccardo Maria Monti as well as representatives of the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Ukraine, the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry reports.

"I am glad that we can start this process with the support of Italferr, which belongs to the State Railway Group and has more than 30 years experience of work in this sector. We engage Italferr in the development of a feasibility study for the Odesa-Kyiv-Lviv euro-rail. The company's achievements are significant infrastructure projects for the conventional and high-speed railway sectors in Italy and in other countries. It is very important that we begin to introduce changes in Ukraine with the support of the leading European company," Omelian said.

As the Ukrainian minister noted, the launch of high-speed railway lines in Ukraine is the infrastructure project of state significance, which will positively influence the economic development of the regions.
