Luhansk region transfers General Cherry drones worth UAH 30M to combat brigade

 More than 840 unmanned aerial vehicles worth almost UAH 30 million were handed over by communities in the Luhansk region to servicemembers of the 125th Separate Brigade.

The head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Oleksii Kharchenko, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"I met with servicemembers of the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade... The fighters needed drone support. The brigade came forward with a specific proposal. The defenders needed to buy something that had already been proven in combat conditions," he wrote.

According to the official, almost UAH 30 million was allocated in April and May to meet the needs of this military unit.

These funds were used to purchase 841 "General Cherry" unmanned aerial vehicles of various modifications, including those equipped with a thermal imaging camera.

"I am confident these drones will help our Defenders hold back the enemy," Kharchenko stressed.

As Ukrinform reported, Luhansk region previously handed over a batch of drones worth almost UAH 20 million to the Third Assault Brigade.
