Turkey among top five trading partners of Ukraine - ambassador

He stated this at a conference on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which was held at Karabuk University, Ukraine's Embassy in Turkey reported.

"Andriy Sybiha noted the positive pace of economic development between the two countries, in particular the growth of bilateral trade by 16%, stressing that Turkey is among the top five trading partners of Ukraine," the statement reads.

The ambassador also informed the participants of the conference about the events in Ukraine caused by Russian aggression. He said that Ukraine highly appreciated the unchanging position of Turkey in supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Rector of Karabuk University Refik Polat, in turn, noted that the conference was a good example of the continuation of strong Ukrainian-Turkish relations. He said that Ukraine could always count on Turkey's support. According to him, the Turkish people will be close to the people of Ukraine both in hard times and in good times.
