Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman says that Ukraine’s agricultural exports increased by almost 25% in 2017.

Groysman stated this at a government meeting on Wednesday when reporting on the results of government’s work over January-September 2017, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have an increase in exports of Ukrainian agricultural products by almost 25% over January-August. At present it is a dynamic sector that is growing rapidly," Groysman said.

He also added that due to the program on supporting the agricultural sector, domestic producers received grants worth UAH 2.3 billion over the reporting period.

The prime minister stressed Ukraine should develop processing projects in the agricultural industry in order to increase the number of jobs and export the finished product.
