Ukraine interested in deepening cooperation with Sudan

This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry following the meeting of State Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Andriy Zayats with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Sudan to Ukraine Mr. Anas Al-Tayeb Gailani in connection with the completion of the diplomatic mission.

"During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues on cooperation between Ukraine and Sudan in political, economic and humanitarian fields. Active work of Ukraine as the chairman of the Sudan Sanctions Committee of the UN Security Council was marked. Special attention was paid to the revision of Sudan's position towards Ukraine, in particular, regarding a package of issues related to the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the violation of human rights in illegally annexed Crimea," the report reads.

In addition, the press service of the Foreign Ministry underlined the importance of carrying out political consultations between Ukraine and Sudan before the end of the year.

The state secretary thanked the ambassador for his work and wished him success in his future work.
