World Bank may use ProZorro e-procurement system for its projects in Ukraine

After assessing ProZorro public e-procurement system, the World Bank said it may use this platform for conducting purchases of goods and services in Ukraine, the government’s press service reports.

“The World Bank has completed the evaluation of functioning of ProZorro public e-procurement system in Ukraine. The target of the mission was to examine whether ProZorro meets the requirements of the Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) for conducting electronic public procurement using electronic reverse auctions,” reads the report posed on the government’s website.

The results of this assessment are the basis for decisions that will be made by the World Bank regarding the functioning of ProZorro system.

“Great news for ProZorro, and another international confirmation of system’s efficiency. We hope that within a few months the first World Bank tenders will use ProZorro and Ukrainian business will be able to publicly participate in them,” said Maxim Nefyodov, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
