Low-cost airline Ryanair officially enters Ukrainian market

The European largest low-cost airline company Ryanair has officially announced its entry into the Ukrainian air market.

 Ryanair Chief Commercial Officer David O'Brien has stated this at a press conference, as reported by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“Ryanair is pleased to announce that low fares have arrived in Ukraine, our 34th country of operation,” David O'Brien said.

According to him, last year the company carried 120 million passengers and is planning to increase passenger traffic to 200 million passengers in the near future.

Ryanair intends to operate four flights to European destinations from Kyiv and Lviv airports. Ticket prices will start from EUR 19.99.

A reminder that Ryanair was founded in 1984. Currently, the company operates 1,800 daily flights all over Europe and maintains more than 200 destinations in 33 countries. The company's air fleet consists of 360 Boeing 737 aircrafts, and another 305 aircrafts have already been ordered. In the third quarter of the 2016/2017 financial year, Ryanair's net profit was EUR 94.7 million.
