Minister Nasalyk: Rise in coal price allows Ukraine to diversify sources of coal supply

A new coal price of UAH 1,370 per tonne will enable Ukraine to diversify the sources of anthracitic coal supply, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk has said.
“We're actively working so that to diversify the supplies of anthracitic coal from the ATO zone. The first ship from another source of coal supply will arrive on August 20-21. But we will not manage without the ATO zone,” the minister said at a press briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to him, the coal price of UAH 1, 370 per tonne, which was set on the basis of binding to the Warsaw Stock Exchange, allows Ukraine to purchase coal from other sources, not only from those in occupied Donbas.
