Train ticket prices to remain unchanged in Ukraine - minister

Ukrinform
Price for the railways fare will not rise in the near future, Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian told Ukrinform in his exclusive comments.

"At present, the rates increase for passenger transport is not planned. All these statements are a little premature," the minister noted reminding that prices have recently surged by 15 percent.

However, the price hike for train fare can occur later. Now it is necessary to complete the formation of the management for passenger sector at Ukrzaliznytsia rail operator, where, according to the minister, now there are vacancies, and "after it’s done, by developing a detailed schedule of trains, we can clearly say what price hike and when it will take place."
