Ukraine, EU sign agreement on EUR 97 mln in aid for decentralization

The agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the European Commission on financing the "U-LEAD with Europe: Ukraine Local Empowerment, Accountability and Development Programme" project has been signed in Kyiv.
The corresponding document was signed by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Services of Ukraine, Hennadiy Zubko and Head of the Support Group for Ukraine Peter Wagner, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I would like to thank the European Union, the German government, the Polish government for the active support ... This is the first large-scale financial support from the European Union, this is recognition of successful implementation of the decentralization reform in Ukraine," Zubko said.
