KYIV, October 19 /UKRINFORM/

. Cargill intends to build a complex for the storage of grains and oilseeds with the annual capacity of 4.5 million tons at the Illichivsk seaport. With this purpose in view, the company will participate in the concession tender for one of the integral property complexes of the port.

As UKRINFORM learned from the press service of the port, on October 18, Illichivsk Sea Commercial Port Chief Oleksandr Hryhorashenko and Cargill Ukraine Director General Mykhailo Hanevych signed a letter of intent.

"The signing of the protocol of intentions with the company Cargill is a big step for the port and a big step for the country. This is a real example of the reaction of the global business community to reforms in the Ukrainian maritime industry," the port head says.

The head of the port is sure that a company like Cargill, which is a competent long-term investor with a cargo base, will be a reliable partner of the port.
