Ukraine's state budget for 2013, which is currently being drafted by the government, will be realistic.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov announced this in an interview with Channel 5, a UKRINFORM correspondent reported.

"The budget should be realistic and it should not be based on the elections and any other political reasons, because the budget could trigger instability, as well as help stabilize the economic situation. Therefore the government's main task is to make a budget that would continue a course for stability," Azarov said.

He said that the government would make every effort to develop the country. According to the prime minister, due to the unfavorable situation on world markets for Ukraine's exports the government will focus on the domestic market. To do so, he said, the government will implement large-scale infrastructure projects. "The government will pay particular attention to the implementation of infrastructure projects, the development of the domestic market and reorientation from foreign to domestic demand," the prime minister said.
