KYIV, July 10 /UKRINFORM/. An excessive verification activity of the controlling organizations is the main problem for Ukrainian business, Deputy Prime Minister/Minister for Social Policy Serhiy Tihipko told ICTV Channel on Monday.

"Today one of the major issues that worries business - this is the behavior of the controlling organizations. First of all, it is related to the law enforcement agencies. I'm talking about the Prosecutor's Office, the Security Service, the Interior Ministry, the tax police and tax administration," Tihipko noted.

He believes that self-will of the law enforcers affects the image of Ukraine in the eyes of investors, and lack of investment constrains economic growth and job creation.

"If we're talking about economic growth, I think the big problem here is that we have not created conditions for investors, primarily the domestic ones," Tihipko noted.

The official added that the issue of easing the pressure on business is under the President's control. "If the situation does not improve, there will staffing decisions," he stressed.
