Occupiers intensify recruitment of local residents into UAV units in occupied Zaporizhzhia region — Center for National Resistance
According to Ukrinform, the Center for National Resistance reported this on Telegram.
"In the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region, Rosgvardia has intensified its campaign to recruit local residents into its units. According to the Center for National Resistance, the occupiers are placing special emphasis on recruiting people into UAV units, promising high salaries, benefits, and a 'stable future'," the statement said.
To "encourage" potential recruits, occupation administrations are increasing economic pressure on the local population. Due to delayed wage payments and a shortage of jobs, many people face a choice between remaining without a means of livelihood or agreeing to serve in Russian security structures. They are promised high salaries, social benefits, and career opportunities in UAV units.
Recruiters, however, prefer not to mention that after signing a contract, individuals may later be transferred to combat and assault units.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, the occupiers owe workers in the temporarily occupied territories hundreds of millions of rubles in unpaid wages.
