Zelensky has talk with Witkoff and Kushner
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, this was confirmed to journalists by President Zelensky’s Communications Adviser Dmytro Lytvyn.
When asked to confirm whether the President of Ukraine had indeed spoken with Kushner and Witkoff, Lytvyn replied:
“Yes, he spoke with them at the airport during a technical stop in Chisinau.”
In a post on Telegram, Volodymyr Zelensky described his conversation with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner as “very positive.”
“I am grateful for their readiness to work as actively as possible in the coming weeks to reinvigorate diplomacy aimed at ending Russia’s war against Ukraine. We understand how much of the world’s attention is focused on the situation around Iran. But our shared goal of peace in Europe remains on the agenda,” the Ukrainian President said.
The parties discussed prospects in the context of the upcoming G7 Summit and other events scheduled for June. Zelensky also briefed the American side on Ukraine’s available information regarding Moscow’s intentions and current position.
“I am grateful for the words of respect for Ukrainians and the positive assessment of Ukraine’s positions. Thank you, America! Thank you to Moldova for the hospitality,” the Ppresident emphasized.
As previously reported, in an interview with CBS News published on May 31, Zelensky said he hoped that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner would visit Kyiv within two weeks.
