Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Valerii Zaluzhny informed the American partners about the operational situation at the front and the needs of the Ukrainian army.

“As part of the continued dialogue, Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Valerii Zaluzhny had a phone conversation with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, US President's National Security Advisor Jacob Sullivan, and US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley,” the President’s Office informs.

The representatives of Ukraine informed the American side of the operational situation and the needs of our army.

Yermak, Kuleba, and Zaluzhny commended a considerable contribution of the United States to the reinforcement of Ukraine’s defense capability.

In addition, Yermak and Sullivan agreed on the need to organize a conversation between the leaders of Ukraine and the United States in the near future.

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops massively bomb and shell peaceful Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages, pursuing mass terror against the civilian population in the temporarily occupied territories. The defense forces of Ukraine resist Russian troops. As of August 1, Ukrainian defenders eliminated about 41,0300 Russians.
