At a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format, Ukraine’s Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov presented a vision for further strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and explained which projects partner funding will support.

He spoke in Brussels during a joint press conference with his counterparts from Germany, the United Kingdom, and NATO Secretary General, Ukrinform reports.

“The projects tied to our vision for this year range from supporting drone-assault units to developing laser-guided artillery, basic brigade-level supplies, Deep Strike drones, and Ukrainian missiles. We’ve broken all our projects into specific proposals connected to our war objectives. We explain to partners what we want to achieve in each domain of the war. If you support these projects, they will help us reach our goals. And if we are successful in achieving these goals, you will be successful as well, because you gain valuable data, experience, and insights to transform your own military doctrines,” Fedorov emphasized.

He added that he expects increased support for Ukraine in drones, artillery, deep-strike capabilities, and supplying the basic needs of drone-assault units.

“There will also be announcements regarding laser-guided artillery. We plan to increase deliveries of this artillery. This was the first format in which we showcased through concrete projects the ways partners can support our country. I am confident this will work, and partners will also see results in the improvement of their own defense systems,” Fedorov said.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine’s partners pledged $35 billion in new military aid.
