President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would receive 10,000 drones in 2026, produced jointly by Ukraine and Germany.

The Ukrainian President made the statement on Telegram after visiting the first German-Ukrainian joint enterprise producing drones for the Ukrainian military, located in Germany, Ukrinform reports.

“Already this year, 10,000 drones produced here will be delivered to Ukraine to strengthen our forces. Ukraine has long been working on establishing joint production lines in Europe. Today, this line is operational – the first in Germany. This is a real achievement,” Zelensky said.

During the visit, he received the first jointly made attack drone.

“We saw the production line and the first flight of the drone. This is modern Ukrainian technology. Battle-tested. Powered by AI. It will strike, it will scout, it will protect our soldiers,” the President added.

Zelensky noted that by the end of the year, a total of ten joint enterprise for Ukrainian drone production will be launched.

As previously reported, President Zelensky and Germany’s Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius toured the production facilities of the German-Ukrainian joint venture Quantum Frontline Industries GmbH in southern Germany.

The joint defense enterprise was established on December 15, 2025, under the “Build with Ukraine” initiative. The partnership between Germany’s Quantum Systems and Ukraine’s Frontline Robotics opened the path for the first industrial-scale production of Ukrainian drones in Europe.

The first fully automated industrial drone production line in Europe for the Armed Forces of Ukraine combines proven Ukrainian drone technology with German expertise in scaling and automation, setting a new standard for cross-border defense cooperation.

The companies are scaling up production of the Linza bomber drone, which enhances the tactical reconnaissance capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and allows remote mining operations.
