Russian-led forces launch 23 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

Russian occupation forces launched 23 attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements six times, on Ukrainian troops in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy fired 47 120mm and 82mm mortars into Ukrainian positions. In addition, Russian occupation troops fired antitank missile systems, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian defenders,” the JFO Headquarters press center reports on Facebook.

In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, the Russian-led forces used 120mm mortars and grenade launchers of different systems to shell Ukrainian troops near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); hand-held antitank and automatic mounted grenade launchers and small arms – outside Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk); hand-held antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – in the area of Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk); automatic mounted grenade launchers – near Novotroitske (36km south-west of Donetsk) and Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk); heavy machine guns – outside Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk); mounted antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – in the area of Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk); hand-held antitank grenade launchers – near Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk); mounted antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Mykolaivka (77km west of Luhansk); mounted antitank grenade launchers – near Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy fired 120mm mortars and antitank missile systems on Ukrainian defenders near Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk); 120mm mortars and weapons on BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle – outside Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk); 82mm mortars – near Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk) and Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars and small arms – in the area of Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk); antitank missile systems – near Troitske (69km west of Luhansk).

One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in shelling.

The Joint Forces adequately returned fire in response to the enemy attacks.

According to the intelligence, one invader was annihilated and two more were wounded on March 26.

Today, the enemy has not opened fire yet.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire conditions.
