The tensest situation was observed in Luhansk direction. Militants used small arms and grenade launchers to shell Ukrainian positions near Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Troitske (69km west of Luhansk) and Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk). ATO troops came under 82mm mortar fire in Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk). In addition, terrorists fired at Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk), using 120mm mortars.
In Donetsk direction, illegal armed formations used small arms to shell Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk), grenade launchers – Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) and 82mm mortars – Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk).
In Mariupol direction, Russian-backed militants used tanks to launch attacks on Ukrainian strongholds outside Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk).
