Ukrinform
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has uncovered a Russian agent who, posing as a cleaner, was spying on the homes of Ukrainian defenders in the front-line town of Druzhkivka, Donetsk region.

According to the SBU, the perpetrator is a 54-year-old local resident who was awaiting the capture of Druzhkivka by Russian forces, Ukrinform reports.

Investigators established that, following the invaders' instructions, the woman posted advertisements in local Telegram channels offering home cleaning services. This allowed her to "legally" enter rented apartments of Ukrainian servicemen participating in combat operations.

She arrived at the residences with cleaning supplies, using them as cover to secretly photograph documents and personal belongings of the soldiers. The agent also attempted to gain their trust and discreetly gather information about military positions and assignments.

The collected intelligence was then transmitted to the enemy through a specially created chatbot. The personal data and addresses of Ukrainian troops were used by Russian forces to prepare combat and recruitment operations.

The detainee has been charged under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – high treason committed under martial law.

She remains in custody without the right to post bail and faces a life sentence with confiscation of property.
