Russian strikes in Kharkiv region leave one killed, six injured over past day
According to Ukrinform, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported on Facebook.
In the settlement of Shevchenkove, a 75-year-old woman was killed, while women aged 38, 53, and 57 were injured.
In the village of Spodobivka, part of the Shevchenkove community, a 52-year-old woman was injured.
In the village of Svitlychne, in the Zolochiv community, a 48-year-old man was wounded.
In Kharkiv, a 16-year-old girl was injured.
According to Syniehubov, the enemy attacked the Novobavarskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts of Kharkiv with drones.
Russian forces also attacked the Kharkiv region using nine Geran-2 drones, seven Molniya UAVs, eight FPV drones, and 12 drones whose type is still being identified.
In Kharkiv, a private house, warehouse premises, and railway infrastructure were damaged.
In Bohodukhiv District, damage was reported to a vehicle in Zolochiv, two administrative buildings in Bohodukhiv, two private homes and an outbuilding in Klynova-Novoselivka, a vehicle with a trailer in Pysarivka, a tractor in Sinne, a private house and utility buildings in Petrivka, a hangar in Klenove, and a boarding institution in Malyzhyne.
In Kupiansk District, damage was reported to a private house and cemetery grounds in Shevchenkove, an administrative building in Borivske, and warehouse premises in Velykyi Burluk.
In Izium District, a private house was damaged in Borova.
In Kharkiv District, two private houses in Babai and Cherkaski Tyshky, as well as two houses in Pisochyn, were damaged.
The transit evacuation center in Lozova received 182 people over the past day. Since the beginning of its operation, 35,083 people have registered there, the regional administration head added.
As Ukrinform previously reported, on May 19 a Russian Shahed drone struck the Novobavarskyi district of Kharkiv, causing a fire.
