Russian forces strike Zaporizhzhia region 797 times over past day, leaving two dead, 12 injured

Over the past 24 hours, Russian occupying forces carried out 797 attacks on 50 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Two people were killed and another 12 were injured as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia city, as well as the Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported this on Telegram according to Ukrinform.

According to him, Russian forces launched 23 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Novomykolaivka, Kushuhum, Mala Katerynivka, Komyshuvakha, Barvynivka, Liubytske, Shevchenkivske, Tavriyske, Zhovta Krucha, Myrivka, Novosolone, Verkhnia Tersa, Rivne, Svoboda, Chervonyi Yar, Vozdvyzhivka, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Novoselivka, Yehorivka, and Dolynka.

A total of 569 drones of various types, mostly FPV drones, attacked Zaporizhzhia, Vilniansk, Lysohirka, Kanivske, Mariivka, Slavne, Bilenke, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Varvarivka, Olenokostiantynivka, Pryluky, Dobropillia, Zlahoda, and Rybne.

One MLRS strike on Novodanylivka was recorded.

In addition, 204 artillery strikes targeted Novoyakovlivka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Varvarivka, Olenokostiantynivka, Dobropillia, and Zlahoda.

Authorities received 80 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities.

As previously reported, on May 5 Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia, killing 12 people and injuring nearly 50 others.
