Russian drones hit food processing plant in Bohodukhiv, injuring four workers
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“According to the investigation, on May 1 at around 10:00 a.m., Russian armed forces carried out an attack on the city of Bohodukhiv, reportedly using a ‘Molniia’-type UAV. The strike hit the premises of one of the city’s food processing plants. Four employees of the plant were injured,” the statement reads.
The strike damaged a production facility.
Law enforcement authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation into the commission of a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As Bohodukhiv Mayor Volodymyr Bilyi reported on Facebook, over 20 strikes were recorded in the past 24 hours.
“The enemy continues its senseless terror: residential buildings, civilian vehicles, and farm property have been damaged in populated areas. Our municipal enterprise was also hit. It pains us to see our educational institutions affected. The Zabrodivska School and Lyceum No. 2 sustained damage. Despite everything—thank you to the defenders of our skies! Not all enemy drones reached their targets—and that is thanks to our soldiers. We believe in them, support the army, and stand together,” Bilyi wrote.
As reported by Ukrinform, last week the enemy struck Bohodukhiv and the villages surrounding the city for five consecutive days. Drones of various types flew almost every hour, complicating the work of ambulances, rescue teams, and utility services.
During those days, the community suffered more destruction than during the entire period of the full-scale invasion. False reports began circulating on social media claiming that the authorities had abandoned the city.
On April 30, Bohodukhiv Mayor Volodymyr Bilyi reported that the Russians had intensified their attacks on the community once again. Due to damage to the city council building, staff were relocated to various premises. Additionally, the enemy is dropping propaganda leaflets from UAVs calling for collaboration, protests against the Ukrainian government, and the sharing of information about the Defense Forces.
