War update: 291 combat clashes on front line over past day, Pokrovsk sector remains most active

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook, updating on the situation as of 08:00 on May 30.

The enemy carried out one missile strike using seven missiles and launched 91 airstrikes, dropping 277 guided aerial bombs.

In addition, the Russians used 8,549 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,807 shelling attacks, including 53 from multiple launch rocket systems.

Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck a command post, three artillery systems, a drone control post, nine concentration areas of manpower, and two other important Russian targets.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the Russian army carried out three airstrikes using six guided aerial bombs and fired 64 times at positions, including six times with MLRS.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction, the enemy attacked eight times in the areas of Starytsia, Lyman, and Vovchansk, and toward Ternova and Izbytske.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces stopped eight enemy attempts to advance toward Kivsharivka, Novoplatonivka, and Novoosynove, and in the areas of Borivska Andriivka and Petropavlivka.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces tried 12 times to break into the defense line toward Lyman, Drobysheve, Shyikivka, Ozerne, and Hlushchenkove.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy stormed three times in the areas of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kryva Luka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian invaders carried out three offensive actions in the areas of Nykyforivka, Pryvillia, and toward Tykhonivka.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the Russians launched 12 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, and toward Rozkishne.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces stopped 49 assault actions by the Russian army in the areas of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and toward Vilne, Kucheriv Yar, Bilytske, Dorozhnie, Toretske, Novo Shakhove, and Shevchenko.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the invaders attacked six times in the areas of Zelenyi Hai, Zlahoda, Ternove, and toward Verbove.

In the Huliaipole direction, the Russians carried out 40 attacks in the areas of Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, and Olenokostiantynivka, and toward Nove Zaporizhzhia, Huliaipilske, Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvyzhivka, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove, and Charyvne.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 10 attempts by Russian forces to advance in the areas of Shcherbaky, Plavni, and Stepnohirsk.

In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy did not conduct active offensive operations.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups were detected.

As Ukrinform reported, the total combat losses of Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to May 30, 2026, in the war against Ukraine amount to about 1,362,500 personnel.
