In this sector, Ukrainian troops have halted the advance of Russian units and are pushing back assault groups. At the same time, the Defense Forces are actively conducting counterattacks and establishing logistics routes despite enemy strikes.

The spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, stated this during a TV broadcast, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

"We said we would block their advance. We will seize the initiative and prevent them from advancing or carrying out active assault operations. At the same time, we are not allowing them to deploy either assault groups or consolidation units into certain areas, but instead are pushing them back," the spokesperson noted.

According to Voloshyn, in several sections of the front, airborne assault units are conducting counterattacks and pushing the enemy back, although no interim results are being summarized yet.

"The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their active operations there," he emphasized.

At the same time, he informed that Ukrainian forces are establishing logistics despite attempts by Russian troops to cut off the supply of ammunition and personnel.

"In the south, we have a somewhat larger so-called 'kill zone,' sometimes reaching up to 20 kilometers or more. The enemy is trying to strike at logistics, but the Defense Forces of Ukraine are working to maintain them, using a variety of means, including ground robotic systems and unmanned aerial vehicles," Voloshyn said.

As Ukrinform reported, since the beginning of the day, the Russian army has attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 91 times, focusing its main efforts on the Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Lyman directions.
