Injury toll in Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia rises to nine, 33 homes damaged

Russian forces carried out at least five strikes with guided aerial bombs on Zaporizhzhia, leaving nine people injured.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

“Nine people, including one child, required medical assistance as a result of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district,” he wrote.

All of them are receiving the necessary medical care.

It is known that the attack damaged six apartment buildings and nine private houses. Municipal services have already begun clearing the aftermath of the strike.

Earlier, Fedorov reported six injured.

Severe destruction of private homes has been reported in the village of Rozumivka, while apartment and private houses were also damaged in Zaporizhzhia.

According to the Zaporizhzhia City Council, 33 residential buildings were damaged in the Russian attack.

“Thirty-three residential buildings were damaged as a result of enemy shelling, including nine apartment buildings and 24 private homes,” the city council said.

Authorities have received 55 reports from residents requesting official documentation of property damage. All municipal services are working at the affected sites.

Fedorov said the enemy carried out at least five strikes with guided aerial bombs.

“At least five strikes with guided aerial bombs were carried out by the enemy against Zaporizhzhia,” he wrote.

According to earlier information from the regional administration chief, at least three people initially sought medical assistance, and the blast wave damaged houses near the impact site.

As reported earlier, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia on Wednesday, hitting a multi-story residential building.
