Russia attacks TPPs and TPSs used exclusively for heating in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro, says Shmyhal
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal on Telegram.
"Eight regions of Ukraine were hit! [...] Several types of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones were used to strike high-rise buildings and thermal power plants — TPPs and TPSs that were operating exclusively to heat areas in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro," Shmyhal wrote.
He stressed that the targets of the attacks were exclusively civilian; hundreds of thousands of families, including children, were deliberately left without heating in the harshest winter frosts.
“Every Russian involved in planning, supporting, and carrying out these strikes, which were carried out with the aim of mass destruction of Ukrainians, must be punished!” the government official stressed.
As reported, Russians attacked DTEK Group's thermal power plants. In addition, due to the consequences of the attack, emergency power cuts are being implemented on the left bank of Kyiv.
