Russians shell central part of Kherson, leaving three injured

Russian forces shelled the central part of Kherson, injuring three people.

According to Ukrinform, the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram.

"At around 12:30, the Russians shelled the central part of Kherson. As a result of the shelling, three men were injured. Preliminary diagnoses indicate mine-explosive injuries," the statement said.

Doctors are currently conducting examinations and providing medical assistance to the victims.

According to the City Military Administration, the wounded were taken to the hospital by police officers.

As Ukrinform previously reported, four people were injured in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson as a result of Russian shelling and were hospitalized in moderate condition.

In addition, according to the prosecutor's office, on January 8, 2026, at around 11:30, Russian troops dropped an explosive device from a drone onto a vehicle near the village of Taras Shevchenko. As a result of the attack, a 63-year-old man was killed. Two other people who were in the vehicle were injured.
