Ukrainian air defenses neutralize 101 of 127 drones launched by Russia overnight
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
From 18:00 on Tuesday, December 30, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 127 Shahed-type strike UAVs, Gerberas, and other types of drones that were launched from Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 80 of them were Shahed-type drones.
The air assault was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 on Wednesday, December 31, air defenses had shot down or suppressed 101 UAVs in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
Hits by 20 strike drones were recorded at 11 locations.
The enemy continues its drone attack, and combat operations are ongoing.
