School and cemetery damaged, one person injured as Russians attack Cherkasy region
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by Ihor Taburets, Head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.
“Christmas Eve in Cherkasy region began with an enemy attack. Air defense forces neutralized a Russian missile in the Cherkasy district,” Taburets said.
He added that one person was injured.
According to preliminary information, the blast wave damaged an educational institution, a garage complex, and a local cemetery.
An inspection of the area is ongoing, and all necessary services are at work, the regional administration head emphasized.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, on December 18, Russian forces struck the city of Cherkasy, hitting a local indoor athletics arena used to prepare athletes for international competitions.
