Russian occupiers have begun selling tickets for performances at the Mariupol Drama Theater, the site of the mass killing of civilians.

This was reported on Telegram by the city council of Mariupol, Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

“The so-called ‘restored drama theater’ in Mariupol has started selling tickets for children's and adult performances... The first performances are scheduled to be shown at the end of December,” the message says.

Mariupol residents are invited to see the “enchanting comedy” “A Chic Wedding.” Children are invited to see the play “The Little Flower.” The program also includes “The Frog Princess,” “The Bremen Town Musicians,” and “The Empress's Favorite.”

In addition, the invaders have already installed a festive Christmas tree inside the so-called “restored drama theater” and plan to hold children's holiday events there.

The city council emphasized that all this will take place at the site of one of the most painful tragedies during the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. They recalled that after February 24, 2022, the theater building became a shelter for hundreds of Mariupol families. It was mainly families with children who hid here from massive Russian attacks. People wrote the word “CHILDREN” in large letters in front of the building, but this did not stop the Russians, who dropped aerial bombs on the theater on March 16, 2022.
