Ukraine, Germany working on six joint weapons production projects – Zelensky
The Ukrainian President announced this during their meeting in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“From the very beginning of Russian aggression, from the very start of the full-scale war, you have supported us – with a total of €28.6 billion in military assistance alone. Thank you for your strong support this year as well. I am very pleased that we have begun working on joint production between our countries. I believe this is a real and significant step forward. We can already count on six projects, but I think this is only the beginning of our cooperation in miltech,” Zelensky said.
He also noted that an important topic of discussion was the signing of a 10-year Drone Deal between Ukraine and Germany.
Separately, Zelensky thanked Germany for the agreement on supporting Ukraine’s air defense system, signed during his visit to Germany last month.
“I will not go into details. Let it remain a surprise for the Russians. But I am very grateful for this support,” the President said about the document.
The President also highlighted Germany’s significant contribution to supporting Ukraine’s energy sector.
“Especially this winter, we realized how difficult it is to defend ourselves. I know that before our meeting, you visited one of our stations [apparently referring to one of Kyiv’s thermal power plants – ed.]. Thank you very much for this,” Zelensky said.
As reported by Ukrinform, on May 11, Ukrainian and German Ministers of Defense – Mykhailo Fedorov and Boris Pistorius – signed a letter of intent in Kyiv launching Brave Germany, a joint program aimed at developing defense technologies and supporting innovative startups.
