Twenty countries working with Ukraine on drone deals – Zelensky
The head of state said this in his nightly video address, according to Ukrinform.
"Because of this Russian aggression, the scale of killings has increased and the threats have become more dangerous, especially everything related to drones. Many partners understand this: 20 countries are already working with Ukraine at different levels so that we can have drone deals with them. With some countries, political agreements have already been reached, manufacturers' contracts will follow, and our military expertise is already delivering results. With other countries, we will soon sign political agreements," he said.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine has also begun preparing a drone deal with Canada.
Zelensky noted that negotiations are underway with the United States and European partners on joint production of anti-ballistic missiles.
"The United States remains engaged in the diplomatic process. It is clear that the war in Iran is currently drawing the most attention from the United States and the U.S. president. But there is also a priority and support from the American people to end this war in Europe as well. And it is precisely Russia's war that is influencing global technological changes – the rapid development of warfare technology itself," he said.
On May 11, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius signed a letter of intent in Kyiv to launch Brave Germany, a joint program aimed at developing defense technologies and supporting innovative startups.
