One killed as Russian army launches 52 attacks on Sumy region over past day

Between the morning of November 6 and the morning of November 7, the Russian army carried out 52 attacks on 39 settlements across 13 territorial communities in the Sumy region, killing a 50-year-old man.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

In the Seredyna-Buda community, a 50-year-old man was killed in an FPV drone strike, a 14-year-old boy was wounded, and a 41-year-old woman was injured.

In the Nova Sloboda community, a 74-year-old woman was injured in another FPV drone attack.

The highest number of attacks were recorded in the Sumy, Shostka, and Konotop districts.

Russian forces carried out more than ten strikes with guided aerial bombs, up to ten drone attacks, 20 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems, and several FPV drone strikes.

In the Mykolaivka community, a private house was damaged, and in the Seredyna-Buda community, a passenger car was damaged.

In the Krasnopillia community, a private house and an outbuilding were damaged.

In the Sumy community, an outbuilding, a civilian infrastructure site, a car, and road pavement were damaged.

In the Esman community, a truck was damaged.

In the Nyzhnia Syrovatka community, two outbuildings and a cultural center building were damaged. In the Popivka community, a civilian infrastructure facility was hit. In the Shostka community, a non-residential building was damaged.

During the day, 25 people were evacuated from border communities.

At around 13:50 on Thursday, November 6, a Russian drone attacked a civilian car in the Seredyna-Buda community, Sumy region. Four people were inside the vehicle.

As a result of the strike, the driver and a 14-year-old passenger were injured, while the others sustained minor wounds.

It was later reported that the 49-year-old driver died in the hospital.
