Russian army attacks evacuation vehicle in Kostiantynivka
On October 30, the humanitarian mission Proliska reported the incident on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
It is noted that on October 29, the evacuation crew was transporting civilians from the destroyed Kostiantynivka to a safer area. While driving, the vehicle marked with the organization's logo was attacked by an enemy FPV drone.
"Everyone in the vehicle fortunately survived. The vehicle was damaged but held up. The electronic warfare system it was equipped with diverted the drone to the side — it exploded a few meters away," the volunteers explained.
They also reported that thanks to the armored protection, the damage was minimal — the armored windshield was shattered, and the bumper and bodywork were damaged.
The humanitarian mission Proliska once again emphasized that "humanitarian workers are not targets. Everything possible must be done to protect those who save others."
The statement also noted that this incident once again demonstrated the importance of using armored vehicles and electronic warfare systems during evacuations.
Volunteers also called on Ukrainians to contribute to fundraising efforts to purchase EW equipment for Proliska specialists working in the hottest conflict zones.
As Ukrinform reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy carried out 24 attacks in the Kostiantynivka sector over the past day — in the areas of Predtechyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Berestka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, and toward Kostiantynivka.
