CinC Syrskyi inspects Khartia Corps near Kupiansk, orders focus on drones, logistics, fortifications

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi visited the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine Khartia and discussed the situation on the approaches to Kupiansk with its commanders.

According to Ukrinform, Syrskyi reported this on Facebook.

“I worked with the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine Khartia, which is conducting active defensive operations in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna secor of the front. During the working visit, we discussed with Corps Commander Colonel Ihor Obolenskyi and the command staff the current situation on the approaches to Kupiansk, issues of coordination with other units in the area of responsibility, their developments and proposals for actions in a changing operational environment,” Syrskyi said.

He stressed that priority tasks include effective countermeasures against enemy UAVs, logistics, fortification construction and engineering obstacles, personnel training, rotations of frontline troops, as well as ensuring adequate support and preserving soldiers’ lives.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Syrskyi said Russian forces have intensified activity across almost the entire frontline and are carrying out troop redeployments, including concentrating about 106,000 personnel in the Pokrovsk sector.
